I'm the mood for a melody ~

This dress reminded me of the Robert Plant song to which this blog is titled after. Specifically, the opening sequence to the video which shows tall grass swaying and the sun sparkling in between the leaves of many trees.....and not to be confused with the segment within the video which haphazardly shows some youth break dancing.....Still not sure why everyone was jumping on that bandwagon back then....I mean break dancing was cool and everything but something about placing break dancers in everything from Burger King commercials to GI Joe still makes no sense to me.

I had a wonderful time in our magic garden this past week and like I predicted....I feel kind of blue being away from that place. Thank you all for wishing me a Happy Anniversary! I just truly love late September and rekindling all the magic that I felt on my wedding day:)

My husband said I looked like a fairy in this outfit:)

BTW, has anyone noticed lately that the sizing at H&M is ridiculously cut smaller? What the heck is up with that?!

I love H&M but I despise their sizing! They make it seem like everyone in Europe must be waifs or something. If I'm ever feeling bloated and/or having a "fat" day, I stay far away from H&M...it's not good for the ol' ego. ;); 28.9.09

Penny said...: Thanks Lorena! I didn't realize I didn't have the option for comments open:)...and what's this you can't wear hats?! Trust me, when I go back to my old neighborhood which is like almost 100% Latino, they all look at me like I'm crazy. Another thing I always hear from our people is that like I look like a Hassidic Jew....go figure...pfft! I think that Latinos look at it weird because look at the women in the novelas and what they wear. They are surely hardley ever dressed like you or I.; 29.9.09

I happen to suffer from endometrial tumors, endometriosis, pelvic inflammation, uterine inflammation, and a host of some other stuff which causes me to be in a lot of pain -- sadly, most of the time.

My case is not common. Most women if treated early enough [I wasn't] can overcome and lead very normal lives with all the ailments I mentioned above [well, maybe not the pelvic inflammation part -- that sucker hurts]...but the point is that - yes, if treated early AND if you are ritualistic about your OBGYN visits; you can avert and heal from various Ute reran problems.

I post this because more often than not, doctors often dismiss women who claim to experience heavy cramping. The first thing doctors try to do is to give you a birth control pill...while that may help in alleviating some of the horrendous pain [which often lands you in the emergency room] an endometriosis patient can experience; it doesn't guarantee healing. Also, what happens if you want to have a family?

There are other procedures doctors can perform...like laparoscopy...but regrettably, endometriosis tends to come back.

There is hope though girls. There is life after tumors/fibroids/pelvic inflammation/ uterine inflammation, etc…..You just have to make sure you are always keeping up with your visits, asking questions, changing doctors if you feel you are not being tended too, and research, research, research!

Had I done even half of these things when I was younger, my life would be...well, pain free….well, I think….life is funny that way….if it’s not one thing, it’s another…but that’s okay. Good fighters get that way by being in good fights :)
